The Ideal Way to Work with a Primary Care Physician

Internal Medicine Consultations
& Urgent Care Visits
Comprehensive evaluation of your medical concerns. Expert care from a Cedars-Sinai physician.
What type of general medical care does Dr. Lichtash provide?
Dr. Lichtash uses her extensive background as an internal medicine specialist and primary care physician to address your medical concerns on a consultative basis. This means that you can schedule to see her in your time of need. She will provide you with a comprehensive evaluation of your medical issues. She will order you blood work, laboratory tests, or any imaging (x-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, MRI scans) necessary. She will also use her extensive network within Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and, more broadly, within Los Angeles, to refer you to outstanding, experienced specialists. Dr. Lichtash also provides follow-up appointments to ensure her care has resulted in an improvement or resolution of your symptoms.
Does Dr. Lichtash accept insurance?
For patients with PPO insurances or who are under Medicare, any blood tests, laboratory tests, or imaging can be billed through your insurance. For patients who are uninsured, Dr. Lichtash has a relationship with Quest Diagnostics Laboratories and with local imaging centers and provides discounted, affordable pricing. Dr. Lichtash is out-of-network with health insurances, and therefore, her fee is due at the time or your visit. If you have a PPO insurance, she provides you with a superbill that you can then submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Many private insurances (PPOs) have a deductible, and you should check with your plan if Dr. Lichtash's fee can be applied towards this. If you have private insurance, you may also have out-of-network benefits, which can cover a portion of the fee.
Can Dr. Lichtash be my primary care physician?
While Dr. Lichtash offers primary care services (comprehensive physical examinations and problem-based visits), she recommends that her patients identify a physician, preferably within their insurance network, as their primary care physician. Dr. Lichtash offers her services as a consultant, and her clinic does not operate as a primary care office.
